I´m having some prblems with phone.
Is this upgrade a good option.

my qtek2020 came with 1.66 so i havent seen how cleartypes look on older rom
but i can say that cleartype look horrible compared to how it looked on my xda1 which is why i have it turned off on my xda2

It SOUNDS (so far anyhow) that any of the ROM's that are to 1.66 suffer bad Cleartype - whether this is Orange, or Qtek or whatever.

The O2 ROM, and the O2 ROM upgrade to 1.60 is fine however.

I've only seen two XDA2's with the new O2 ROM on, but BOTH of them are fine for me.

Indeed, like I posted before, I find that ONLY the O2 ROM's have a Cleartype that is as it should be, smooth edges, but clear text of an almost solid colour - no colour bleed of blue on black letters, or yellow on white letters.

May I ask, what were you used to before hand? Is it because you were using one of the poor versions, but never knew, and of course thus then became accustomed to that style of Cleartype?

Let me know please?
