what does sim tool kit do ???
if i click on it , it just says "your sim card has no application installed"
also how do i copy the xda contact list to the sim ???

it may be for manipulating java apps on the sim, like vodafone use.

I have an orange sim and the tool kit lists Orange world services such as info for orange alerts, general wap info services and group text set up.
I guess it depends upon what you have on your contract.

Depends on your mobile operator, the SIM Toolkit explore the Info Request appliations from your SIM card (normally 32k & above). They are normally text menu based, like the picture I attached below from my own mobile operator. Once you confirm an info request, an SMS will be sent out and subsequently the info you requested will be sent back to you via SMS or MMS (Ringtones ...), you can even do Cinema ticket booking, Banking transaction etc ... :)

where have you got this program? My RoverS1 (aka anextek sp230) lacks such a feature, it would be interesting to add it.

It comes with the Xda II ROM.
