Finally they fixed the bug with the + infront of the phone number.
Older versions didnt include a + infront of a phone number so it stopped sending.
Example if you have a number stored like: +316xxxxx the older versions gave: 316xxxxx and forgot about the + infront.

This has now been fixed!

Hello,

Sorry for asking this question, but I am new to upgrading the MMS Composer in the ROM, but can I just download this composer file and install it on ever ROM of the XDA II? I use the 1.60.00WWE Qtek 2020 Rom and would like to upgrade the MMS Composer, is this possible to do???? And after a hardreset, the old MMS Composer comes back or would it be replaced through the new (this) one????

Can anybody help me with this? Hope someone could! Would like to upgrade, but NO problems with ROM etc.

Hi,

Yes you can install this on every rom without problems.
It will overwrite your old version.
But you can NOT uninstall it...

This file is normally a file included in an extended rom.
So if you unhide and unlock the extended rom you can add this file, remove your old mms file (in the extended rom) and modify the config.txt
That way after a hard reset you still have the new version!

So, if I get this right:

I can install the new MMS Composer and the old one will be overwritten! BUT, when hardresetting the old MMS Composer will be back??

UNLESS I change the Extended Rom and hardreset, the new one will be installed!!??

Is that true?? So it overwrites the old one, but it after a hardreset the old version is back???

Download (do a search if need be) the Extended ROM unlock tool from this website (i.e. the one you are looking at now).

Install it to XDA.

Then, soft reset your xda.

Then go into Programs, and there will be a new folder for the Extended ROM tools, near the Games one, containing a hide utility, an unhide, a lock, and an unlock tool.

They are self explanatory, but one of them also requires a soft reset to see the difference.

After that, you can see all the files in the extended ROM, and copy delete, paste etc etc.

Delete the old MMS cab.

Copy in the new.

Copy the config file in the extended rom folder to your PC and open with notepad.

Look for the line that relates to the OLD mms application, and change the name correctly so that it relates to the NEW version number (it will make more sense when you see it).

Then copy this file back over to the XDA2 in the same location, to overwrite the old one.

Lock then hide your extended ROM (if you are finished with it for now), and voila.

Provided you got the name correct for the new version, in the config file, and copied the new version cab over, any hard reset will now run and install this NEW one!

May I ask which version of the T-Mobile ROM did it came from? Because the T-Mobile 1.72.104 ExtROM has MMS16012_WWE.sa.cab instead.

Well, found out that freelockuk provided us with MMS Composer 1.6.0.8 which is an older version. Thanks anyway, mate. :)

I do that, but the software is not install automatically, is-it necessay to hide the extende memory after changing the MMS programm ?

No and it should work fine. So check and then double check that you have:

1 - Copied the new CAB into extended ROM and deleted the old CAB
2 - Copied the config.txt file to your PC (to allow editing), and then altered it so that the reference to the old CAB is now EXACTLY correct for the new CAB - check and double check its exactly correct.
3 - Saved this file and then copied it back to your XDA2
4 - Now a HARD reset of your XDA2 will run the autoexec file in Extended ROM, which runs in turn the config.txt file, which installs the files listed in it, as long as they are in the correct place.

And I'm not sure what you mean by "after changing the MMS program" - you don't do this, the reboot does this automatically.

I have updated my qtek 2020 with MMS Composer 1.6.0.14 and now MMS Composer does not start.

Is it because it's not the same language?

Do i need to update the ROM Version even if allready have the version 1.66.02FRA?

you can use MMS on Qtek 1010 but with WM2003 ROM.

ROM 4.01.00 is a good stable one

Yesterday i got an Orange M1000, and today i noticed that i was unable to send or receive MMS messages. My account is activated for them, and orange didn't know what it was, but i tried to explain to them, that there is no MMS composer on the phone, just SMS. If i installed this CAB file will that solve my problems? there also appears to be no Orange MMS account, however if i try to create one under that name it says it already exists!

Thanks for any help
