bluetooth therminal services

when i connect my xda2 to activesync
and then try to use that connection to get hold of my
pc desktop using therminal services
i get the login screen and i login
but that kicks off my pc user and that disable activesync
and that kicks off my connection from my xda2

can anybody confirm that you cant use therminal services
when using activesync to connect to the pc ?

I know what you mean. As long as your remote desktop is active on your xda2, then activesync will still be running. Just log back in with your pc and that will log you off your terminal services, leaving activesync still running! tried running 2 user accounts at the same time but i still had the same problem

I think I know why you are having these problems. Basically from what I have seen is that when you connect to the Internet via an ActiveSync pass-through, it assigns your XDA with a 192.... IP Address and blocks a lot of ports. I noticed this when I tried to access certain SIP ports via the ActiveSync connection that can generally be accessed via an open GPRS connection. I think the best way out of this is by setting up you PC as a Bluetooth LAN server and then connecting the XDA to it via Bluetooth; thus totally bypassing ActiveSync. This way, as the XDA is now virtually a node on your network and assuming that your internet connection is shared, you should be able to browse freely without any automatic firewalls. This can be done with HP iPAQs, but as the Bluetooth facilites on the XDA are limited, it requires a lot of effort and extra software.
