View Full Version : Activesync doing too much syncing!!

I leave my XDAII cradled for most of the day whilst I'm at work at my desk. Obviously I only want to sync occasionally so I have Activesync set to "manual" on both the PC and the device.

Trouble is, even tho I turn the device off whilst cradled, it continuously turns itself on and tries to sync with the PC. Is somewhat annoying! My trusty old XDA didn't suffer the same problem.

I'm using Activesync 3.7.1 which I think is still the latest.

Any ideas...? Am I missing some obvious setting?

I don't have an answer for you but I have same problem and yes it is annoying when I turn my XDAii off and it starts up a few minutes later wanting to sync. I would love to know the answer but I suspect there isn't one. I've noticed that the software settings in the XDAii are quite limited throughout.

Try this:
From your PPC:
Start > ActiveSync > Tools> Options > Mobile Schedule
Make sure all 3 options are set to "Manually".

From your Desktop PC ActiveSync:
Tools > Options > Schedule
Make sure every active options are set to "Manually" as well.
