GPRS Connection thru TIM - Brasil (telecom Italia Mobile)

Hi Everyone,

I am propably the the first and perhaps the only soul to try to connect an I-Mate through GPRS in Brazil. It so happens that sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. What bothers me is that I don NOT know what causes the malfunctions.
I have been able to connect succesfully in the US using Cingular

My settings for TIM Brasil are:
APN : tim.br
User: tim
Password: tim

My settings for Cingular USA are:
APN: WAP.CINGULAR
User: WAP@CINGULARGPRS.COM
Password: CINGULAR1

No other settings are apparently required!
Any guess why TIM sometimes may fail?

Eh muito simples configurar uma conexao GPRS no imate (ou xda2 e etc..) . Vc deve apenas deixar em branco todos os itens do settings:

APN, user e password, apenas deixe marcado o nome e o tipo de acesso (GPRS) assim ele conecta automaticamente...

Não sei se entendi, É para deixar todos os setings em branco? Como ele vai saber que tem que se logar na rede da tim? O que vocecolocou no APN no user e no password?
