How to browse Internet using LAN

Sorry if this question seems basic.but I was going true tons of forum postings lately without finding an answer.

Laptop is connected to Internet via my LAN.
XDA 2 is connected to my Laptop using USB cradle or BT.
Activesync is in place.

I want XDA2 to connect to the Internet via my LAN.

Is that at all possible?
Please help.

Have you enabled pass-thru in Active-Sync on your desktop client?

My Activesync is v3.7 - ther is no Pass trough in tools -> options.

May there is newer version but i cannot find it on Microsoft site.
