Hello, I have searched for a response with no luck.

Browsing this forum for a couple weeks has led me to download all kinds of great software, however, now my program memory area is nearly full with all the programs i have running, and my storage area is almost full as well.

I have tried moving from the storage area onto the SD card (which has tons of free space) but the icons become broken (from the PROGRAMS link off the drop down menu). I cannot tap+hold to bring up properties of the icon as in Windows.

Any assistance here guys?

Also: someitmes when i go into the MEMORY option in control panel, and move the slider so that it offers more memory for program execution, it moves back the next time i go in.

Thanks in advance,
Ian

You need to reinstall and when asked if you wish to install to default directory you must answer no, you will then be presented with a drop down box where you can choose the memory card for install. Parts of the program will always install to main memory but the majority of it will be on the sd card. I dont think there is any other easy way without having to edit your xda files to point to the sd card location, it is much easier to install to memory card in the first place.

well, I am having the same probs. I installed TomTom3 on the SD card, but all maps just end up in "My Documents". Filling up my local memory. Now I am running with just under 6Mb. (Making my MDA2 quite slow). So any mods or tips for moving the "My documents" folder to SD would be superb.

Install the tomtom *software* to the default directory (this is not the SD card) but when asked to install the map, choose non-default, then choose storage card. Works fine. I have everything installed on the SD card now (although some things like the GPS driver will end up in Windows\ anyway) and it works fine. My Documents will always contain some (very small) preferences for each map.
