Hi Ive seen lots of info re cable and GPS by doing a bit of soldering
but obviously I have a in car kit so I can use it.

I would like to use TomTom as Im from the UK and believe that this software is the best for my country

My idea was to add a usb socket to the car kit utilising the pins etc and then I can connect a GPS receiver to it or any other connectors

does anyone have any advice on this

Regards

The car kit already has the lines for a serial gps device, you cannot interface a usb gps to the xda because the xda is a slave device and the gps is also a slave device, there is no capability of the one controlling the other.
