View Full Version : HELP!!! Country Error, Tried everything can't upgrade

I want to upgreade my ROM, but I keep on getting a country error, i've tried doingt he coutntry code hack, but it still gives me the same error!
Help me please?


ROM version : 1.60.00WWE
Rom Date : 12/03/03
Radio version : 1.06.01
Protocol Version : 1337.16
ExtROM version : 1.60.06


Help would be greatly appreciated.

I found that the instructions on the wiki, using itsme's tools work for me. ER2003edit doesn't reliably change the country code for me.
Remember to pick the right country code for your device, and to re-encrypt the files.

Now I am in trouble

I tried upgrading it, I thought it worked now it's stuck in bootloader mode...

Please help me!
i tried upgrading it, the country error is back and my unit keeps on displaying Serial 1.02

See if it says "USB" when it's in the cradle (with the computer on, etc.)

Then, just run the upgrade again.

Remember though, flashing ROMs is dangerous.

Anyway, I finally got it working, I will be more careful in falshing ROMs in the future...
