IMAP Folders

How can I get my PPC to subscribe ONLY to the Inbox, Sent, and Trash folders? It seems to want to check ALL folders on the IMAP server which takes a LONG time over GPRS and makes it a pianful experience! I can't mess with the IMAP server, so any solution would have to exclude changing settings on the IMAP server. Is there a 3rd party app. that fixes this?

Try INBOX/accounts choose imap account then TOOLS/Manage Folders and put a check in the box of each folder you would like to have checked.

Even if only those folders are marked for synch Pocket Inbox still waste time by re-loading the folder hierarchy at each connection. This is what we need to find a way to disable if possible. There was a specific option to disable this behaviour on the HP Jornada 720 (HPC) email client. Not sure why MS dropped that option on the PPC. Pretty sure someone could come up with a registry hack to fix this.

Hello everyone,
I have the exact same problem. I have lots of IMAP folders (374) and my IMAP client always gets the whole folderlist. Has someone a workaround for that problem or is there a smarter imap client out there that just checks the subscribed folders or the folder I do specify?
