HELP my MDAII is dead after downgrading!!!

Hya

I tried to downgrade my MDAII from the ROM 1.72 to ROM 1.66.
But after downgrading it, it looks like my MDA II is dead now...

It doesnt do anything anymore :(

Now I got a white screen with upper writing "SERIAL"
and down "V1.03" and no backlight at all...

Can somebody help/guide me how to fix my device?

I'm a newbee and need yoru help

'Serial' just means that its trying to communicate in Serial mode, if you drop it onto the dock/charger (assuming that is connected to your PC) the word 'Serial' should change to 'USB'. If it does then try the downgrade again.

Don't worry, it's not dead. If the downgrade process completed normally, you just need to do a hard reset (press power button while holding stylus in reset hole). If this doesn't help, the downgrade failed.

The most likely reason is that you connected the cradle to a USB hub. Try connecting it directly to your PC, then perform the flash procedure again.

Another possibility is that you used Windows 95/98/ME. Some users have reported problems. Try the flash procedure from a Windows 2000/XP system again.

I post a original latest belgian rom on this forum (rom from dangard), try to install this version.

you need to dowload this file (a shortcut) on your pc, then execute it following the procedure.

I solved the problem for me:

With HimaUpgradeUt.exe there was no connection. It was a too old version (0.5.0.0).

So I replaced it with Version 0.6.0.0 and it runs !!!
