Does loadspeaker work whilst making a phone call

Whilst making a phone call is it possible to enable the XDA loadspeaker?>
(has it got one?)
I wish to view my diary while I am on a phone call rather than getting the user to hang on.

If, as I suspect you are, you are referring to "speakerphone" - simply press the left (green) phone button for 2-3 seconds while in a call and the speaker & mic will go into speakerphone mode. To cancel it, simply press the same button again for about the same time and it will revert to "normal" operation.
