Hi
When I try to delete, copy or move a file with the file explorer, file explorer locks up. After a soft reset the file move, delete or copy has succeeded. This is the same for SD Card, Rom and Ram and has only just started.
Any suggestions before I perform a hard reset?
Cheers

mate,
this used to happen to me along with a couple of chaps in the forum. someone suggested that taking out the sd card and then doing a soft reset fixes up everything. worked but all that trouble... think it has something to do with the file explorer getting "confused" with reading the sd card (as someone said) but don't quote me. i finally did a hard reset and now everything is a-ok; even with the sd card inserted. must be one of those microsoft bugs...
cheers

Hi Robson
Thank you :D
Last night I performed a hard reset, installed most applications, and thought I would try deleting a file, once again file explorer hung.
I then performed another hard reset, and before I installed anything I tried to delete another file, again it hung.
I was just about to call orange and get a replacement, and I found your reply.
It now works if the SD Card is out. I will try to format the card again, and if that fails I will order a new Panasonic SD Card. My current card is a cheap Taiwan card.
Cheers

mate,
on the topic of sd cards; i do notice that sandisk isn't as good (no offense to those who love em); i use both panasonic and kingston. both of which, i've noticed, doesn't cause any file explorer hang ups. although after the hard reset my explorer app is working properly despite the sandisk sd card being inserted; perhaps the sd card you're using is indeed causing the hang ups. brand? so that we'll know what to avoid buying :D
cheers then

Hi
If I soft reset with the SD card out then file sexplorer has no problems, but with it in duriong a soft reset any file operations causes the system to hang.
I just tried this with a 128MB pretec SD Card, Pansonic 8MB SD Card and a 128MB MMC and they all gave the same results, that if I soft reset wit h a card inserterd then file explorer hangs on any file operation.
I can live with this as I dont soft reset very often, and when I do I will simply pop the card out first.
Cheers
