No name of receipient when sending SMS

I noticed that everytime I send a sms from my contacts their names are not shown and only their number. Is there anyway the names of contact appear instead of their number?

Search for Paragon Software sms_name.

The program sms_names will only show the names of contact when a sms is recieved. It does'nt help in showing the names of your receipient when sending the message to them. Their numbers are shown instead of there names..... :(


I have to double check if the number appearing matches to the name of the contact.

you can tab & hold on a contact then select "Send sms" ... this will display only the number ... but in an empty sms if you click the "To" field and type the first 3 letters and then select the name this will display the name as well ... weird but true!!

unfort. there is no concept of groups in pOutlook ... one good trick would be selecting the required names then copy the "To" part and paste it into a text file for future usage :)

There is the way to send sms to group. I should
1. buy Pocket Informant
2. create groups
3. check numers belong to certain group
4. hold and click Extras-Send SMS
This procedure will open inbox with checking contacts.
