Hi,

I'm utterly frustrated at the moment. I just came back from Colombia in South America, where my xda2 should have worked but it displays a funny network number and asks for a network unlock code. Has anyone experience using an xda2 down there? I tried contacting COMCELL (o2 network partner in Colombia) but they could not help. My xda2 works everywhere else I've been. I tried my SIMM on a COMCELL phone but it asked for the code. On a OLA (another network provider) phone my SIMM simply worked but I don't want to buy another phone! I tried to check COMCELL and OLA SIMMs on the xda2 but always got asked for the network lock code. Is the xda2 network blocked in some way?

yes it is usually network locked, you need to download xda2unlock.

Hi,

Thanks for the reply! I don't have another [non-o2] SIMM to test after using xda2unlock. So, I'm a bit wary. The code displayed is then the code I have to enter when the xda2 asks for it while abroad?

What I really don't get is why o2 claim to have a network partner there and the phone does not work.
