I just put together the following pieces
OS 1.72.00WWE
Radio 1.17.00
ExtROM 1.72.901 eDsubSofT (Nevermind the "1.60.36" that is in the nbf header)
"CountryCode" = TMOBILE
All configured for T-Mobile NL

Hello edsub,
Does the 1.17 Radio version works with the 1.72 Fra, or it needs a french 1.17 Radio ?
Is that possible to upgrade only the radio ?

You can use this radio with your device. No language specifics in it.
(as I was told)
The checksum suprises me.
I can open the ms_.nbf with er2003edit with the normal key.
can you?

Ok, and is it possible to install the 1.17 alone, without upgradeing all the device ?
Did you notice differences between 1.14 and 1.17 ?
edsub

You can upgrade every part separately from the others.
Just delete the NBF's you dont want to upgrade
Radio.nbf = Radio ROM
NK.nbf = OS ROM
MS_.nbf = ExtROM

Does this upgrade of the Radio only requires a hard-reset at the end ?

did a radio upgrade only
(removed the OS and Extended rom bkf files).
Device is dead (displays SERIAL after Cold Reboot).
Recommandation: don't do RADIO only, upgrade OS + Radio + Extended Rom whatever you're told.
btw, Extended Rom is corrupted.

I noticed the extROM was not OK.
Just uploaded a new archive wich should do the job ok.
@tde: oops, I just read that on the wiki-page

no problem edsub, I should have read it too before starting flashing... this is not my first upgrade so I have no real excuse :-)
just back to my old imate 1.72WWE, it's been a while since I didn't flashed my device, this rom is really OK.

@tde, do you mean you have succesfully installed my roms or did you revert to your own?

edsub,
Are you saying that the extended rom you have developed is not ok?
Is this ROM save to load on MDA II, which has only had T-Mobile ROMs on it?
edsub, is this the ROM I requested?

I re-flashed with the latest Rom from IMATE I had (1.72WWE), but upgraded the radio to 1.17 by the way.
Now I have to recreate a new extended ROM ...

@ Gratefuled: My ExtRom was ok, only the NBF file to be used to flash was corrupted. This means that in the first upload version of the upgrade archive (see first post inthis thread) you could simply NOT upgrade the extRom (upgrade utility refuses it).
The currently available RUU172901_eDsuBsofT.exe should be ok.
@tde: The ExtRom in the new version should be ok. The OS rom inside my archive is the same as your iMate OS rom (Qtek and iMate 1.72.00WWE OS roms are the same).
@all: Still waiting for comments on the newly uploaded archive

I am a new qtek 2020 user.
Can i use this rom for the provider proximus here in belgium ?
edsub

Basically you can. But for the extended rom contents I would advise you to get in contact with others on Proximus for the specific network (ie GPRS) settings.
Also, you might not like the T-Mobile startup splash screen.
And: You HAVE to update the "country id" (=operator/device identifier)
.

What bootimage does it have?. Does it has the T-mobile BETA bootimage?. I don't mind the T-mobile image, just not the beta part
edsub
1st October 2004, 04:44 PM
It has the 'normal'(ie not beta) T-Mobile boot-image.
Images were taken from 1.60.36 rom

Is this upgrade the Windows Mobile 2003 SE equivalent?
So when flashed it has the same software features as described for the Qtek 9090?
When flashed to Tmobile, can I still change the settings to telford? Has anyone don that already?
thanks

edsub,

Thanks for your support

@goldenhands: Its NOT SE. There is NO SE available for MDAII available (yet)
Of course you can re-apply the Telfort settings afterwards.
Keep in mind that the boot-image for instance is T-Mobile too

Are there any other benefits compared with the 1.60 WWE rom?

I too would be interested in knowing if you will be making a new version of cooked rom with the new O2 release.
Also Your orginal files are missing from the FTP server! I need to flash a phone for a friend and have been waiting for the file to reapear, but have not seen them.
If you need someplace to ftp it to besides the XDA server let me know. I own a hosting company and have pleanty of servers. ;) I am sure I can find some space with some domain (I own over 2000) that can be used.
Thanks,

I have not got the time to get into the new O2 builds.
BUT:
OS & Radio are the same as my .901 build
Thus:
Only difference is with the 'new' apps. You could put those yourself in the Extended Rom using the supplies unlocker . . . .
I will be releasing a .902 build these days . . .

Hi edsub i`ve been trying to download youre home cooked rom but it seems the webmasters have lost it or removed it.
Is there any way to get this rom somewhere else?
my current rom seems to give me problems with tomtom3 and incoming calls
or so i read, i am a newbie on this but i want to give it a try but only with the .nl rom because i`ve read that you can get some errors whit country id etc.
i`m a little afraid to use a foreign rom because i dont want my 1 week old mda2 to crash!
thanx

Ed is there anyway that you can upload your version again? it has been lost in the server problems. If you need a palce to ftp it or email let me know I can give you the info and I can post it for you if you would like. I have plenty of server space as I own a hosting co. :D
Thanks

Due to the facts that my 1.72.901 file was lost on the server and I have prepared a successor, please see the following thread for the Home Cooked 1.72.902 T-Mobile ROm Upgrade.
