I must admit that I am not over happy with the O2 interface part of the XDAII, but have found that I need the task manager to shut down programs, otherwise you end up having loads open that you thought that you shut down, which will end up in a restart.

Is there someway that I can remove the O2 menu but still have some sort of task manager open on the footer. I have worked out how to remove the O2 theme and the Dialer skin from the phone section.

Can I not just load a default windows 2003 OS and programme the phone section seperatley, or do O2 install/programme the phone bit?

Unistall all the V2R Active things in the 'Remove programs' then manually delete using file explorer all the directorys it said it couldnt delete, that gets rid of the menu, then search around for an app that does what you need it to do if you want it for free a good place to start maybe http://www.freewareppc.com :P
