but it's something which works when the device is in REAL standby mode because then the lcd is 100% shutoff
because it's tft and that big it eat tons of batt power if it were to display something like time
so all pda's are in suspent mode like pc's when they are tuned off

well it sync with the pc clock at each sync
unless people turn that option off
and as a rule pc bios clocks are pretty poor
of cause if one have set the pc clock to update to a timeserver then
it should be pretty good
if the clock start to drift if you dont sync for awhile i dont know

Alturion gps syncs clock with satellites.
why this isn't implemented in TomTom i can't understand
