After upgrading my PPC2002 to a WM2003 recently, I lost the vibration functionality. Since my bootloader was upgraded from 5.17 to 6.22 as well, I thought I would restore firstly to PPC2002 then from 6.22 to 5.15.
So, yesterday i restored a full PPC2002 official release ROM. In vain hope, though.. the vibrate was still not functioning.
So today, i got a old version of XDArit, and put the 5.15 bootloader onto a card with the Wallaby patch loader on another card. In short, I downgraded everything back to it's original (almost) condition IE PPC2002 and 5.15 bootloader. The RSU is stable at 4.21.00. Not keen on downgrading it.
Anyways, I have tested the vibrate motor, and it works fine (externally via 1.5V battery). I have resoldered the contacts too and still no go.
I have tested the vibrator in the booloader-menu under 6.22 and 5.15, it does NOT vibrate..
Anybody have the same problems as I do? Do post..I'm getting annoyed having to put the phone into low-volume during meetings. THanks!
