i have downloaded ur attached version of resco explorer and tried it; i have also tried various versions of Resco Explorer with different bluetooth devices (phones, PDAs, PCs etc) but i always get the following error:

"the connection to the peer bluetooth device failed"

the beam file screen doesn't seem to work..in resco explorer it works, but the devices must be paired :( crap..

have you paired them both first?

that's the point..u shouldn't be required to pair the devices, like nokia phones, u can send files without pairing..

Besides, using default file manager and chosing beam file doesn't work at all...bug?

yes they are paired, but still the file doesn't get beamed from PPC to PC

this sure is a bug or a limitation of Bluetooth in PDA2k.

to send to the pc you must go to bluetooth manager->new->Browse files on a remote service, then chose your pc, and select send file.

What i want to know is that if we can send images and other files using object push (like the 9090 does for contacts, appointments and tasks), i.e., without requiring the pairing of the devices

when i try this, it says: "Service Discovery was unsuccessful".

my imate PDA2k doesn't even send contacts, appointments and tasks using object push. it can't find my PC in 'Object Push Servers'. and when i select all devices and chose my PC it gives me the following error: "The Remote device does not allow contact items to be received".

is it because of XP SP2???
how do i enable Object Push Profile in XP SP2?

unfortunatly MS have decided to make a massive change with the bluetooth stack on MS Mobile 2003. you can no-longer beam files via the explorer app or the beam files app. The way i've transferd file is to establish a file browsing session via bluetooth manager and then select send file. Unfortunatly this does mean the devices have to be paired and support tftp over bluetooth, but it does work. Im yet to test resco but will post when i do.

Hi there,

I encountered the same problem like u. I got this message everytime i send file to another ppc via resco explorer 5.13(latest). But sending file to PC desktop is ok.

So my question is can u successfully send files to ppc , phones & pda?

But how??

Thanks
