unlocking sx56 using xda manipulator??????

can i use the XDA Manipulator for unlocking the SID my SX-56 using the cradle with a a usb connection. I know it says serial cable but by using the cradle and usb will it make a difference????

No, it won´t work through usb-connection...
You have to use a serial cable, or you can try the xdaunlock tool.

I follwed the directions on this website on how to use xda unlock however when i run it on my pda it says "error getting unlock code"

You can also use the plain 3.17.03 ROM without any additonal software. Or you can use the Special Edition ROm for unlocking and then flash back to your old Rom version....

If i install a new rom version (3.17.03) will that erase all my software currently on the walllaby... Also with a new rom does that affect the siganl connection of the phone..???

I went on to the rom kitchen website....

And it looked very cool...so many options avaliable...... howeverr would the "3.17.03 ENG O2-Euro" Rom work in Canada?? eventhough its not europe???

are there any other bad things that could happen when i install a custom rom overwriting the A.20.17 version?????

also what is eZwap2 , ezWAP (does it need to be included when cooking your own rom) and action frramework?

ANother thing XDAunlock says that it will only work if i have a wireless modem feature in the rom kitchen...however i dont. So how will installing this new rom unlock my phone???
