View Full Version : Good grief... I bricked my SX56

I have a Siemens SX56 on AT&T (now Cingular) in the USA.
I upgraded a few months ago to Windows Mobile 2003. Consequently, the radio stack was horrible and I rarely got any connections.

I attempted to perform a stack "downgrade" by using an SD card. It got to 1% and failed. Now the unit just stays at the Windows Mobile screen and says at the bottom left:

G
R
A.30.09

How can I get this thing back up and running? Please help!

Thanks,

Maybe just try repeating the process. It should aks you if you want to flash the unit the minute it turns on.

Unfortunately, it stuck at a white screen and I couldn't get out. I *was*, however, able to get the boot loader up and reload the data from my SD card, but it didn't help.

Luckily, Siemens said they would repair the unit, so I sent it out.

I sent my "bricked" Wallaby to Siemens and they sent me a refurbished unit with Windows Mobile 2003 and what appears to be the proper radio stack! It's working great!

By the way, this site is awesome!
