OK, I know these things are new... but if anyone get a lead on when/where anyone starts producing a larger battery for the MDA III's please post here!!!!
the 1400mah standard just isnt gonna do it for me...
Looking at how the factory battery fits, seems to me no problem to make a slightly bulkier battery with, say, 2500 mah capacity? woudn't hurt use or cosmetics of phone... the battery already sits lower than the camera area on the back.....
Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!1

I don't know if the batteries are exactly the same.... I hear rumors that the PDA2k, Sprint PCS 6601.. O2 III.. whatever are all the same. If so, look at this site:

(There's a UK site as well).

They have batteries in many format for the blue angel. They are developing a 3000mah one :). I'm not sure how they will look, but there is a picture of their current one if you click the 2600mah for the o2 xda II. I think the new 3000mrh will look like that

I just got one of these MDA IIIs. I asked for accessories but they had none!
I want an extended battery too so I went and got a lead acid 12v from a scrap yard and fitted it on a pair of roller skates (a skateboard would do). I then purchased a 600 watt inverter from Maplin Electronics and coupled this to a transformer from one of my old Sinclair Spectrums computer and before anyone jumps down my throat - yes I added a voltage regulator so not to blow up my new MDA III.

I think maybe if they shaped the battery more like this, then it would be a MORE functional design...

WIMPS!
Stop wasting time with chemical batteries.
If you're willing to loose a bit of mobility, then nothing beats nuclear fusion.

I went to their site and they indicate they are out of batteries for the XDA IIs.
Does anyone else have a line on extended batteries? I saw a 1900 mAh battery, but I was hoping for a little more power.
Thanks!

They have 33 in stock of the 3300 Mah batteries, they're currently out of the 2200 Mah ones. $124(us) and $79(us).

Does anyone know if there's any reason these batteries wouldn't be suitable for an Orange SPV M2000??

In MY opinion the cost of batteries is a total rip off and we the consumers are held to ransom.

Blue Angel & Himalaya batteries are incompatible because of different shapes.

can anyone be more specific about how long these different batteries last? the 3200 makes the pda nothing like a pda only the 1900 or the 2200 would an option
thanks

I agree with your views, it's like buying a house and sticking an extension on!

Does changing the battery on my SX66 cause it to hard reset?

I know this sounds stupid but do the extended batteries fit in the desktop charger?

I have the 2200 mah battery for my PDA2K [the slimmest one they make] and it does NOT fit properly in the desktop charger.
