I have just purchased (awaiting its delivery) a UK QWERTY MDAIII on T-Mobile(UK) and am wondering if it will accept a VodafoneUK sim card? if not is there an unlocking service/software?
Also could anyone tell me the differences between a T-Mobile Rom and the standard i-mate PDA2k rom? Has T-Mobile disabled any functions/features? or have they customised any of the builtin software/today screen like O2 do?
Thank you very much.
Regards
Richard

I have T-Mo MDAIII, but had to pay £15 to T-Mo to get it unlocked for my O2 SIM. There is no unlocking software yet.
There is no flashy interface like the O2 device, but you do get the voicedial, zip, truefax and GPRS monitor software with it.

£15? - Not bad at all, in the grand scheme of things. How was it done? Over the phone, and they add it to your bill sort of thing? or did you have to send it in.
Many thanks

Done over the phone and added to my bill.
What price for the MDA? - o2 are in total chaos about the XDA IIs - on website it is quoted as £179 (with contract) [look for 'Great Deals' link] but link leads to dead end page with incorrect phone number.
Phone staff say variously: "£350 on our price matrix, even upgrade" - "£249 on business offline, not available on business online)
