Dumping the OS.

Maybe a newby question, and the WiKi part of the website is still down, but how do I dump the OS to a SD-Card ? Or otherwise 'ghost/backup' the original OS before attempting a language change ??? Can I do this
in the bootloader ? Is there a hidden key combination for the 9090 ?

I once used a tool called bootblaster3900 from handhelds.org. this let's you copy the whole flash rom to a file. there are more tools for that at handhelds.org and elsewhere.

note that this image is not bootable in case you brick your device.
