My himalaya does nothing when I try and turn it on, when I put it in the cradle to charge I only get a red Lamp. I have tried a soft and hard reset to no avail.
Anybody have any ideas.

I encountered the same problem on my XDA. Whatever soft reset and hard reset I tried, nothing was shown on the screen. It could be charged, but could not be turned on. Even try to press the three buttons to enter the Bootloader, didn't make it.
What can I do? Help me, please.

...even, if you don't see a pixel on the screen, try to speak to it with mtty.exe
Don't forget to terminate "wcescomm.exe" process before you do...
If you don't get the terminal prompt, you'd better send it to repair.
Actually, what happened to it?

No pixels, and no prompt.... I am taking it in for repair at lunch time, they say it could take up to 2 weeks, don't know how I'm gonna survive :?
The belt clip it came with detached itself and it landed on the concrete floor with a thud... they will probably make me pay for it as well...
