View Full Version : ActiveSync Inbox problem

Hi, I'm having problems with my ActiveSync inbox after restoring it from a backup, using Sprite Backup.

Here (http://www.austinlighting.co.uk/pda_screen_shots) are some screen shots as I think it helps explains this a bit better.

My ActiveSync inbox is on my XDA II but it will not allow me to sync with the PC.
This does not show under email accounts (but can’t remember if it ever did) but does have its inbox in the mail menu.

In ActiveSync on the pc I go to "Tools > options > sync options" I have a list of the items you can sync.
This shows the ActiveSync inbox icon but it has no check box next to it.



Can any one please advise me on how to resolve this... is there a way to delete just the inbox... is the something in the registry that I can change....

There is a program called cleanmail.exe that will solve this (clears the Pocket outlook DBs).

You should be able to find it on the Sprite site or else perhaps somewhere on this board.

Thanks for the response Martin. I tried the little cleanmail.exe but this has not fixed the problem :(
It made my xda do a hard reset after, so I restored from my back up again only this time unchecked the box for ActiveSync inbox to be restored but sprite has done the same thing again still have the same problem hmmm :roll:

I have used another app to try to clear the data base but this had problems too.
