Hi djrm. Thanks for the EXT ROM. It's works really well. Has all I need in it.
I am having a problem sending MMS messages however. Wondering if anybody else has this.
Using an M1000 flashed to 2.02t with your EXT ROM.

Fruitloaf mentions using the imate one here:

He says it works for him, but I'm still having trouble.
Messages just don't get sent out.

same here. No messages are sent out with both versions of the MMS program. Not even receiving here.
I think there may be some incompatibilities with the Extended rom. For me, after installing a newer version of the CallerID program, I started noticing that my pda was acting very quiet. (No calls). after I noticed a hell load of missed calls. Must have been an incompatibility with the dlls used and the radio version or something..
Versio 1.5.0.24 tries to send, after a while the message remains in the outbox. While version 2.* sends the message out of the outbox but the recipient does not recieve anything.
Regards...

After hours of trying to figure this bloody thing out I think I've got it - if you have djrm's extended rom installed, install
i-mate_PPC_Orange_UK_Contract.CAB or even better add it to your Extended ROM. Then all you need to do after you have reset is to go into MMS settings, click on servers and edit Orange MMSC by simply adding / to the server address so that it looks like:
http://mms.orange.co.uk/
This should work, if anyone knows how to make these settings into a cab let me know and i will do it and get an Extended ROM posted with the new settings
By the way, love the ROM djrm - keep up the good work mate!

I know it's offtopic for this thread, but do any of you guys have line2 working on the m1000?
In SIM Manager, I can see my two numbers under List of Own Numbers, but it won't let me change the outgoing number. Does anyone know how this can be done?
Just as background, work give me a crappy Nokia 6310i to use, and I have to have line2 enabled for personal calls. Obviously, I'd rather leave my 6310 at home and use my m1000 everywhere, but I can't use a double sim card as it would switch of reception of business calls while I make personal calls.
Thanks,
Jason

Orange told me line2 doesn't work on the M1000 or M2000, I have 2 lines with the same problem - it (M2000) shows on the screen if I get an incoming call on line2 but it doesn't ring, and I can't make outgoing calls via line2.

Orange say that because their ROM doesn't support it. It doesn't mean necessarily that the phone isn't capable of it. I have read that on some networks you can switch lines using a utility on the SIM card, but Orange don't provide it.
You have to take what the network's customer support tell you with a large pinch of salt - often they will tell you lies to cover up a fault in their service!
