Error Accessing Image Files

Can anyone tell me how to get past this error with the extended rom editor? It doesn't matter which extended rom that I am trying to open, I still get that error.

It usually means that you are using auto-select of the ROM type. When opening a ROM, select the exact type from the drop down list at the bottom - that should sort it.
