Hi all,

I would like to change my pictures at start up on my XDAII, it has the latest Rom and Extended rom, which loaded without any hitch at all.

I would like to put my wee logo as the second flash well in the middle, is it possible and if so, is there an idiot guide from a to b to do it.

I have read the threads in other places but I need more help than just to download a file, anyone take the challenge of assisting the techno challenged members

cheers
TJ

In the 'genuine englisg SE'thread I posted two neutral splash screens for SE.
All you need now is
1. download that zip file & unzip.
2. get the upgrade files you used
3. donwload the ER2003Edit tool
4. get the ExtROM password to open the ms_.nbf (hint: its in dcs's thread on the SE rom

Steps:
1. Open the ms_.nbf from the upgrade package using ER2003Edit by (in the file-open dialog) choosing 'Extended ROM' as the file-type and 'ms_.nbf' as the file
2. Load the splash-screens (splash1.bmp & splash2.bmp) you want
3. SAVE
4. EXIT (discard any error message).

Run the upgrade again.

Note: Instead up downloading the Splash screens, you can also save them from any other ms_.nbf you may have (featuring ie. an O2, Qtek, imate or T-Mobile logo).

You should choose the "WM2003 Extended Rom (ms_.nbf)" in the file type.

1. Click File
2. Click Open
3. choose the "WM2003 Extended Rom (ms_.nbf)"
4. Then enter the password for ExtROM
4.1. Password: 0x20040305

Help it works...
