Help!!! My Phone crashed and I have no ability to access

I was trying to perform an upgrade on my XDAII (02) and now nothing comes up - Only "USB" or Serial at top with "v1.06" at bottom. I cannot get ActiveSync to recognize phone. Does anyone know how i can get the phone to boot again or access it withough leveraging Activesync?
