Who made the rom

Hi,

Could you tell me if roms ( I am not talking about the extended rom) are the same on the different brands for same PPCs with same language ?
Just want to know this to see if I need only to install the extended rom of another brand on my Compact to test this rom (as I want to test the imate jam rom).

afaik radio & os roms are the same.
They are developed by HTC themselves
To be sure you can check the version & build numbers (build number van only bee checked when installed . . .)

thanks edsub. So if understand to test an imate rom on my mda I need only to to do an hard-reset, then a soft rest before the extended rom installation and then to install manually all the .cab from the imate extended rom ?
