Unlocking XDA IIs and/or getting into bootloader mode

Hi All,

Any help or ideas will be greatly appreciated.

I bought an XDA IIs on the UK O2 network a few days ago.

I am trying to unlock it so that I can use it in India with an Airtel SIM, for both normal tel calls and GPRS data needs.

I bought an unlocking package, but unfortunately the company's support is not available.

It suggested that I first put it into bootloader mode, before installing some software. I followed the instruction of pressing on/off + action button + reset, but it did not go into the bootloader mode. Any ideas?

I then tried to install the XDA II unlock software, but that falled too.

Can anyone help me?

Have you tried asking O2 for an unlock code, they gave me one for my XDA when I had one.
Let us know how you get on as I might need to unlock my IIs at some point
