Problem: Bluetooth Nokia HS-3W with imate

Hi there,
I just bought a Bluetooth Nokia HS-3W headset to use with my imate himalaya!
I succeded in pairing and using it but people talking to me say that there is a lot of noise and expecially a lot of echo, so that they cannot almost understand a word!
I obviously tryed the headset with another phone (a nokia 6310) and it worked like a charm.... then I tryed to use it with another qtek 2020 (yes qtek branded, from Vodafone Italy) and again it worked perfectly!!!

Both my imate and the qtek I used for the test has Rom 1.72, so I would expect they hase the same bluetooth stack! Am I wrong?

I'm not using any kind ot bttools...

Is there any chance to have it working properly, or shall I buy a different BT headset?

i had the same problem, you have 2 options
1. slide out the rubber part from the plastic part on the speaker side
2. or what i did is i cut off the rubber part you press on the earphone directly, so in other words you click on the button directly & this will allow your the speaker voice not to bounce off the rubber side when his voice leaks
