i've got a sandisk 512mb sd card. wich works on my xda 3 (qtek 9090).. but now i've bought an 1gb sd card.. ultra 2.. and the qtek doesnt recognize it.. whats the problem?.. the 1gb or the ultra 2 part?

1gb only is not a problem. I have one working fine on my Qtek 9090.

It works now.. after a new format to fat32.. strange..

The main difference between MMC and SD is the capability to record both sound and video at the same time. MMC is the older technology. Thats the explanation when these cards are compared to be used on other gadgets, like digital cameras -- not sure how that applies to the XDA though.

I've been happy with my purchase and didn't have to do any formatting. Just a simple plug and shoot (the camera was my first test).

The Ultra 2 from SanDisk is supposed to be for fast storing photo shots on digital cams. It could have some extra formatting for that mode resulting in your need to re-format. I'm not sure the XDA cares for the speed anyway -- its the processing software that needs an upgrade (if not the darn VGA cam) :-)
