Most readers here will be familiar with the notorious unreliability of the alarms/notifications in WM2003 - we've all seen the various fixes, from reg. tweaks to software patches, which deliver solutions which vary in success. What I haven't managed to find is a conclusive answer to the question "Have MS finally fixed the alarms in WM2003SE?".
Of all the reasons for upgrading my device to SE, this is really the only one which matters to me. I don't need Landscape, the BT changes don't help me either and since I'm still on the more stable 1.60 ROM (as opposed to the 1.66/1.72), I am happily using all the PP2 features without a care in the world... but I'd like reliable alarms!
I currently use a three minute time-period for the housekeeping process which works most of the time, but as my appointments database climbs towards the 500 record mark, I'm still missing some first alarms.
So, does anyone have a conclusive answer? Do the alarms work more reliably in SE than they did in WM2003? Please tell...
