Did anyone manage to download new ROM from imate? If yes - could you please mirror it or share it with bittorrent and post a link here.
It's next to impossible to get it from imate site, they must be running their servers on iPods or something...

Thanks mamaich for the link.
Has anyone actually installed this. If so, what are your impressions. More to the point, does anyone know if WMP 10 has been included?
Thanks,
db

It's basically the same as the Qtek rom, only extended image version upgraded, from 1.12.120 to 1.22.162.
BT driver version are the latest, build 3500.
Still no WMP10 included. Seems more stable though

I'm probably wrong in saying this, but I wouldnt expect that the rom would work in an XDA2.
Why would you want to try this rom in the XDA 2 anyway?

NO!!
Do not use this on any other device other than the i-mate PDA2k. You will screw up your device and make it inoperable!
I have just visited the Club i-mate pages and they have now posted FTP as well as HTTP links for downloading the new ROM. The servers are a bit slow, but not too bad...

This ROM will work on an SX66 if you take the time and "prep" it for the device. It is running on mine right now. Actually, it runs better than the factory base ROM of the SX66.

dougvan,
most users won't know how to prep their device. Heck, **I** don't know what you mean by prep. I just think this is a very risky venture. ROM upgrades can be tricky things to begin with. Installing a ROM on a device that the ROM wasn't made for is not something that I would recommend to anyone not willing to accept that it made BRICK their device.

ChrisSpera,
I don't recommend the upgrade process to anyone who doesnt feel comfortable with it. I was simply stating a fact, not encouraging people to create a $600 brick =)
And when I say "prep", I mean "branding" the ROM for the correct device ID and country code.
If any current SX66 owner feels the need to upgrade their phone to the new pda2k ROM, please send me PM or email at dougvandemark@yahoo.com before you do. I will do my best to explain to you exactly what you will get and what you WON'T get. I will also explain to you that even if you do feel confident enough to do this, sometimes things go wrong and you CAN screw up your device. Especially since Siemens/Cingular didn't release a factory ROM on the CD the SX66 shipped with. It's a one way trip unless you pulled the ROM from your phone first.

I actually like the updated ROM, BT and WIFI actually work at the same time and my HBH-660 works great.

I tied this download for the IMATE PDA2K & it killed the HANDS FREE PROFILE. They fixed the Headset Profile but I could not use it with the Parrot CK3100 or the Hands Free Link in my Acura. HTC does not know what they are doing. If anyone has downloaded the latest ROM & it works with a Hands free Profile please post it. Thanks Jerry
