xda_IIs_LaunchROM_v1.12.162_178.exe is the restoration ROM
is it an original O2UK? operator id O2___001
did you do another upgrade prior to this one? Then it may have overwritten your operator id in your xdaiis

xda3nbftool, ER2003EDIt are useful tools

Maybe this needs to be clarified on here and made into a sticky. The SourceO2 rom has been listed in error and calls to have it removed or even tested to prove its wrong are being ignored. Subsequently people such as yourselves are finding your devices have been turned into bricks! (Luckily not forever  )

Unfortunately as far as I know there is not yet an official O2 rom for the Blue Angel device that is freely downloadable. But you will find in this forum roms from other operators that can be made to work as a perfect replacement.

Hey

Just got an e-mail back from source O2:

Hi Ashley,

apologies for the incorrect file published and thank-you for bringing it to our attention.

The error has now been rectified & I can assure you, tested. Its is available at the same link as previous;
http://www.sourceo2.com/O2_Developers/Devices/O2_Xda_II/XdaIIs_launchROM.htm

regards,
source O2.

Anyone with a Blue Angel (XDA 2s, MDA III, PDA2K) like to see if re-downloading this and trying it works?

Well I guess us and few other will be back with our XDA II's back with o2 Rom.

From wot iv read the to have ROM is the I-mate one. But am scared to try this now. Does it drasticly get better on this rom.

I have installed the i-mate ROM onto my XDA IIs. To be honest, there isn't much difference between the two apart from the fact that I can't get TomTom Navigator SatNav software to work.

The Wifi seems quicker though and the bluetooth seems stable enough, but still problems with the Jabra headsets.

There is a step by step guide here (http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?p=79336)

Hope this helps,

Dom

The correct O2 rom now seems to be on...

http://www.sourceo2.com/O2_Developers/Devices/O2_Xda_II/XdaIIs_launchROM.htm

Note a slight difference between the old version and this new one:

OLD: v1.12.162_178
NEW: v1.12.62_178

This has been frustrating for me.
Been playing arround for hours to get TOM TOM 3 working with my Xda2's.

Can't seem to get the Bluetooth GPS Recevier to work properly.
I have paired the device.
I can see the GPS OUTPUT service however there is nothing incoming on both fronts.

Am i missing something or can any1 help.
