Hi,

I recently got an xda IIs, I have managed to connect to my broadband connection via my cradle - however I am now trying to set up a wlan connection to transfer my files over as I left my cradle and charger at my other house, doh!!!

I can get a connection however - for the life of me - I don't know how to transfer files!!?!?!! Now that I have a connection - should my pocket pc not show up in My Network Places? I cant find it anywhere. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I also have a second question, I am aware that the onboard memory is volatile - but can someone clarify if the storage memory on the phone (not sd card) is non-volatile or not.

Many thanks,
LCMGxs

Hi

Windows Mobile does not have a network client built in. From what I can gather, it does support SMB, but has no front end. Suggest you get a copy of pocketlan which is a front end.

Other than that you'll have to use activesync (this will work over wifi once you have used it once over USB).

Bizzdev netuse integrates with the standard files manager and works well enough for me. Its freeware to!
