Well it looks like i tried to flash my 2 day old XDA II's with the O2 Restore Rom and killed the thing. Spot the newbie eh. Wouldnt of thought it would of messed it up. As now my laptop dosnt reconise the Cradle so thus i send it back to O2 for reflashing.
I guess I have to rethink upgrading the unit for a while.
But I do like the unit very much, thinking or was thinking of getting the Jabba head set. From my understanding its ok as long as the phone is within 1m of the unit. Would anyone advise a better headset then the Jabba?
Also I guess the thing that makes the unit is the software you find for it.
What software do you swear by?
Reading though the forum I found a telnet prog :) handi for me
cause realplayer, as streaming music is a must.
I be using the unit as phone but also surfing stuff from home over the Wi Fi.
It seemed good for the 2 days I had it before i flashed it wrong. One question I could work out was the use of Wap over ur home wifi connection.
The setup I had work well for webpages telnet all that stuff. But i could not get wap pages to work. Would always try and dial up my gprs setting to use wap. Did I miss somet, do i need to map it to an online wap provider or proxy or somet? Or even somone telling me that you can use the wap on the XDAIIs would be help least then I keep digging at it.
Main question I guess for now is wot progs do u guys use? Think I leave flashing stuff alone for a while till am more stable with the unit
