My jam is stuck on the serial screen

tried upgrading with imate original, wont see the phone

tried mtty d2s (from a working unit)>NTRW READ FROM sd, ntrw WRITE TO SD, it freezes on boot,

the mtty intracts with the phone: here :

ok seems i have a shot bootloader, when i try d2s, the screen goes blank.

s2d dows not work with jam

rbmc is locked!

erase is locked

password >> need a password to do much of the writing commands


lnb >>not allow operation


in short, there is no way(from where i stand) to flash this thing, attempting to flash with SD returns a frozen set, same SD was able to flash another unit.


any clues ?????

My probs started after flashing the UK ROM of the I-mate in to my MDA Compact.

I can't flash my MDA compact Backup ...

What could be the sollution?!!

can you do d2s from mtty ? if so, you are in luck, you can still revive your set. if not, try the warranty option :) something i do not have.

Try d2s, if it works, stop, download the backup from the xda ftp, use ntrw to write it to SD, then put your set in boatloader mode with the SD in, wait 7~10 seconds, it will ask you to press power to flash, & you are there.


if you cannot perform a d2s, your screen goes blank when you try, i do not have a solution, nor does anyone else, so far... either wait, OR try the service center.

You were right, MTTY is still working. I finally got it working again. It took me several methodes.

I got it in serial mode after flashing it with this ROM (it couldn't get out serial mode) --> http://www.cddnet.com/Support/ma_cdlsku12_wwe_10300_163_10100_ship.exe

The backup i made didn't work. But an other way worked:

The other ROM's didn't work but by first updating the radio file form this ROM --> http://www.clubimate.com/Support/ma_cdlsku1_wwe_10300_143_10100_ship.exe
and then doing the setup complete (ms, nb and radio) it finally worked!!

i have the same problem when i tried to upgrade.

now im stucked with the serial screen, and youre method doesnt work for me, it says unsupported format when i dubble click at radio_.nbf

and when i run a full upgrade it says Modell ID error.

hope someone can help me
