View Full Version : Changing the default on-screen keyboard on an SX66?

My SX66 has the ugly, old black and white on-screen keyboard with the square "keys". My friends Dell Axim x50 has a sweet on-screen keyboard with blue round keys that looks really nice.

Is this a custom "skin" that Dell made? Is it available via a 3rd pary product? Reg hack? Copying the files from the Dell to the SX66? =)

Just looking for some info. I would love to upgrade my current ugly on-screen keyboard.

I don't know about the specific keyboard you cite, but PHM's Pocket PC PowerToys (http://www.phm.lu/Products/PocketPC/PowerToys/) has a couple of alternate keyboards, including a blank one if you prefer to use the SX66's keyboard or a IrDA/Bluetooth one.

Combine this with some registry hacks (http://www.howardforums.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=532304&highlight=%2Bkeyboard+%2Bregistry) I found over at Howard Forums, and you can switch the default keyboard. If you did a little registry spelunking on your friend's Axim, you could probably figure out how to transfer his keyboard skin.
