Father-In-law has just bought some wireless kit for his home PC. Me being the mischevious type thought I could have some fun here ...

Once the Wireless Router is installed (and I know the encryption key - as I will be setting it up for him) - I know I can connect to his network with my XDAIIs ... but is there anyway I can;

1. Send him pop up messages :), and
2. Monitor what he's doing :)

I could see this being quite fun - and he will see the funny side of it as well ..

Cheers

i dont think you can do such things as that. what i do is have a list of allowed ips on the router and to annoy siblings on laptops on anyone using a desktop on it i remove there ip and they cant connect. much head scratching

1. sending pop messages
-you can probably do this easy with any of the IM apps
-not familiar if there's "net send" for the XDA :-)

2. monitor activity
-you may run into legal issues here, even if it is your F-i-L
-try the installed Terminal Services (remote desktop) or use VNC

Behave. Have fun.

Been using a VNC type program - works a treat :)

As for the pop-up messages - don't fancy the IM route, the net-send type was what I was thinking of ,,

Anyway - 1 out of 2 ain't bad !
