Where can I get good headphones for this thing?

I read that the standard headphones don't have a button you can press to answer a call-you have to do answer withthe handset.

I need good earphones for music and phone.

The original earphones suck ... with bad sound quality !! Normally for phone use I always use my BT Bluetrek G2 headset, but for listening music when I'm travelling by train you need proper earphones.

Haven't found any good ones with 2,5 mm. plug !! If someone finds decent ones post it please !

Thnx

Did you try the one provided with SE P900/800 or Z1010?
It works fine and...sounds good!

Seems the adaptor plug only has three contact areas. The headset plug has got four. Bu using a plug with only three contact areas you short circuit the microhone... Don't know if that's bad...

The fourth contact is to use the microphone for a calling while you have your headphone plugged in...if you don't have it you should unplug the headphone in order to use it.

Hi everybody,

I've bought the described adapter jack 2.5 male ---> 3.5 female. I can use my Sony Fontopia Earphones again and the sound is great.

Just remember that by incoming calls I can't answer the call like the standard headset. It isn't a problem for me unhooking the adapter jack and answering the phonecall.

The costs of this masterpiece of equipment are 3,50 euro's !!

King regards,

R.

You're right.
The original headphones can answer calls but don't fit well.
I modified them with Sony Fontopia headphones and they're now great.

The one shows in expansys is the similar one with the original headset. Just the color different I presume.

I wonder is there a really good one. Or any idea how to modify.. I just hate the current headset.

These solution are all so... messy. It saddens me.

If it weren't for the terrible battery-drain I'd be tempted or get an A2DP headset, but my Magician has troubles making it through a full day of listening to music as it is.

Why? The one I've suggested is very tidy. I have one.

Oh, it's fine if you don't want to use your own headphones, I guess. Though, in the photo it looks like the little winder for the retractable cord is kind of bulky, is it?

It's a lot less bulky than having an extra metre and half of wire getting wrapped around your neck.

Ah, you see, I have headphones with their very own retractable cord, not to mention some very nice Sony in-ear plugs that only have about an inch of cable on them.

I guess I'm just a difficult consumer.

well...
I use a sony 2.5mm to 3.5 mm plug, which can be found here,

http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=5832089766&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWN%3AIT&rd=1

and connected to that is my Audio technica CM7's
http://www.audio-technica.com/cms/headphones/d5b15eb34816b085/index.html

ahhh, it cant get any better than this -).

But, after snooping around, i guess these are one of the best ear bud earphones you can get with a mic. Thats if the treo headset's work on magicians.
