Does anyone know of a place that has an actual docing station/cradle for the iMate PDA2K for an automobile. I want to be able to get in my car/truck and sit it in a secure cradle, that I can later hookup a hands free kit, GPS, charging, as well as hooking up to stereo (by any method). I know I am asking for a lot but someone has to be thinking like me.
For staters I need a secure cradle that has some form of universal mount that can be mounted to a car. I'm not asking for a device that looks like it was designed to hold a pack of cigerettes that takes you a few minutes to hook up all the cables and attachments when you get in.
The cradle should have hookups built in that port out all necessary pins from the dock (ie: charging, headset, hands free, and whatever GPS may utilize). It needs to be device (or device type) specific, I'm tired of the generic device that will hold any PDA, radio, cellphone, etc.
Maybe I am just ranting but common guys, there's got to be a company doing this or SHOULD be a company doing this. I would buy it, how about others?
I may have to build my own with an extra cradle, but the device needs more support in case I hit a bump I do not want it to fly out. Something like an extended back to the existing cradle that curv around to the front @ the top so if a bump dislodges it it will fall back into the cradle.
