Can anyone figure out how to do this on the imate Jam? I have done evrything and still cannot, is this BT stack just a peice of sh%t? Can we add BT tools or does that cause problems? (This is the only way I have been able of syncing my XDA2 in the past)

The HF thread doesn't help me at all. It seems like the Pocket Bluetooth Tools are very buggy:
1. It doesn't give me the profile choice screen when pairing. Have tried both v1.2.0.0 and v1.0.1.2.
2. Seems to be severely faulty regarding power save/standby. Drained my fully charged battery overnight, my wake up alarm went bye bye.
3. Had lots of strange lockups requiring softreset.
All problems went away immediatly after uninstalling PBT.

1.2 does not work well with the JAM,. The battery will drain fast if you do not turn the BT off when not in use. The two orange indicators are there to allow you to set 2 different power settings.
The BT Tools were developed for the XDA II/MDA II, and the tool was an absolute life saver for those devices, because the MS Stack on the first generation devices was nearly useless until the BT Tool came out.
Step one: Remove all BT Device partnerships you currently have
Step two: Load and run BT Tool 1.0
Step three: Softreset your device
Step four: Create new partnerships

Ok, I actually succeeded in getting ActiveSync to work over BT. It seems like the WidComm drivers that came with my Decom USB device are useless and there are no official updates available.
I used my favorite p2p tool to get the IBM version, v1.4.3.4, together with some instructions and patches, followed the instruction to make it work with any device, paired it and tried to sync, and voilą, it works.
This is without Pocket Bluetooth Tools, and for the moment I'm a bit sceptical about installing it again. Apart from the timing and power functions, which seem to have both advantages and disadvantages, what functions does PBT provide?
