Hey there!

i created a pan, with the toshiba drivers on my mda and the normal windows xps on my desktop.
now what i do not understand is the difference in speed:
when i connect usb and transfer a file over PAN, then i get a speed of about 1200 kbit
when i transfer a file over activesync with usb i have a speed of about 500 kbit
when i transfer with bluetooth and PAN, and then transfer a file over PAN, then the speed drops to about 200 kbit
that speed is also the same for only a PAN connection.

does anyone has a clue, why there is such a big difference?

Thanks,
Gringo

Actually, Bluetooth is a lot slower than USB so the difference in speed between BT and USB should not be a surprise. Also, Activesync is not known to be very effective and probably has a lot of overhead.
