Help! Problems after upgrading

Hi all,

After I upgraded to WM2003SE, my phone keeps hanging and hard reset, like once to twice a day. Very very frustrating! :cry:

Worse still, I dun receive SMSes!! After like a few hours after reboot, when someone sends me an SMS, i just dun receive it! Even after I reboot! The SMS just disappears!
I have to keep sending SMS to myself to know if my SMS is working and when I dun receive back my SMS, I use cleanmail to reset my Messenging software. So frustrating I feel like slamming the phone sometimes! :x

My phone locks up and when others call, they can hear ringing tone but my phone is like locked up and I can't answer the call.

I've scanned the forum a few times am gonna try a Sprite backup upgrade for the SMS problems but dun think it'd solve the other problems.
Maybe they are all related?

I've already stopped using my phone, now using a Nokia phone instead until I can stop this madness! :shock:

Just a thought, but you didn't use Sprite Backup to restore after you upgraded did you? - you have to install all your applications etc again and not use the restore (which is why I've been putting it off).

Other than that, I can't help - maybe somebody else can help...

Use only the latest sprite if you decide to go that route.
Earlier versions had issues with no incoming SMS etc after a rstore.
The newest version works very well

my first thought also :restore after an upgrade => troubles.
I don't know many who run 2.02, most of us run 2.06 or 2.20 (I think)

1. which pda is it ?
2.the rom that you upgraded to was provided by who ?
3.have you tried to download the official rom release of your phone and
tried to downgrading from what ever rom you are using to the official released one ?
4.and if you really want wm2003se then go for mystermans rom edition its stable and fast. download it frm here http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=15382&start=0

Thanks StarFux, at first when I upgrade I did make that mistake..
but the PDA crashed on me like nobody's business.. so I did what you mentioned, install all the apps and data back bit by bit...

Hi Bakerk, upgraded to latest sprite already...
SMS problem so far no issues, but phone still locks up
and PDa stills hangs and hard resets...
I've also uninstalled PocketPlus 2.2 and Sprite PocketMon
but still cannot... sigh..

I installed the ROM uploaded by DCS. Think it was the first one uploaded on this forum just before mamaich..

3. last time I checked there isn't an official upgrade from Pocket PC 2003 to WM2003SE
4. thanks for the recommendation... hmm... not sure if I'm prepared to go through another painful upgrading exercise in the short term..

hey if its a xdaII then i think you should download the official rom released by o2 from http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=15382&start=0 (the link is posted here) and if you want second edition go for Mystermans Rom .......do this and TRUST ME YOU WONT HAVE ANY PROBLEMS !!!

Thanks ZairyApp..wow another painful upgrading exercise.. was hoping for some sort of fix looks like no choice. Will find the time to do it after I've got over the initial trauma of upgrading!! But thanks a lot anyways!
