Hi!

I have a problem :( . I have a Targus Universal Wireless Keyboard. That seems pretty cool but it's not. You see, indeed it's a Targus, indeed it's Wireless, and indeed it's a Keyboard. But after many attempts I really start wondering if it's that Universal...

I just don't get it to work with the Compact. After I install the driver of the CD-ROM (or internet, http://www.targus.com/us/product_details.asp?sku=PA870U) I click on enable keyboard, but when I start typing in the test box or in Word the letters just aren't added to the screen. It does receive some kind of signal though. What am I doing wrong? Is the IR of the Compact so different from other PDA's? Am I using the wrong ports or something?? Please help me out!

Ferrariboy

PS. Does anyone know what keyboards do work with the Compact?

Hello SpeedyBoy,

Yes I have the same problem as you, I am terribly disappointed with Targus' claim of the "universal keyboard".

I wrote to their support team several months ago to ask if they have support for WM2003SE/PE (ie the O2 Mini/Compact), and they replied that they have no plans at the moment.

I was using this keyboard with my previous iPaq 1910, and am really disappointed that I can't use it with my Mini... don't think I will buy another Targus keyboard product again.
